Surviving the Teenage Years
A Series for Parents
Sponsored by HC Drugfree and the Howard County PTA Council Assisting parents to develop the skills they need to raise and protect their children is part of every PTA's mission. For that reason, PTA Council in partnership with HC Drug Free is working to help parents to understand and cope with underage drinking and illegal drug behaviors involving teens in Howard County. Our goal is to encourage parents to be part of the solution to these problems. |
OverviewWhile we know that teens engage in risk-taking behaviors, many tragedies from underage drinking and illegal drug use are preventable. Parents are an important influence on their children. That is why we are encouraging parents to start and to continue a dialog with their teens about underage drinking, illegal drug use and related high risk behaviors.
We have developed a series of informational fliers from PTA Council / HC Drug Free called Surviving the Teenage Years. These fliers contain practical tips and information for parents of teens from the Howard County Health Department and other government agencies. HC Drug Free
